Girl drummers rock my world

This is JG. Drummer for the Arizona band We Are They. If you know me you know that I love photographing live music and especially drummers. JG is one of my favorites. She rocks. The rest of the band? Ryan, Andrew, Tyler and Mark. Not so bad. (Settle down guys. I'm joking. You rock too!)

Sharp Looking Product Photography!

I've been doing some very enjoyable product photography work lately. One project in particular was a job shooting products for Ed Manning of Manning Custom Knives. Ed makes some beautiful hand crafted knives. Very beautiful and meticulously crafted!
Here's a couple of images from my Manning Custom Knives shoot. You can see more and learn about Ed's work at the following link Manning Custom Knives.

Happy Birthday Rico!

Saturday night I was hired to photograph a surprise birthday party for Rico Suggs. It was a blast!

The BMW Rico is sitting in was a birthday present. And no it wasn't from me. Happy Birthday Rico!

Alice in Chains at Dodge Theatre

Alice in Chains has always been one of my favorite bands. They were also a big musical influence to me when "Guitar God" was my career ambition. Last night at Dodge Theatre in Phoenix they had a pretty packed house and although I was sad I couldn't stay to enjoy the entire show it was a pleasure getting to photograph (while singing along) the first three songs of their set. To see more of my photos from the show go here Phoenix New Times - Up on the Sun

Photography makes a great Valentine's Day gift

Here's a couple of images from my shoot with Chelsey Linden. Chelsey was in need of some themed pin-up style portraits to give as a gift to her military man. I asked Chelsey if she would pose with the television for my "television series" portraits as well and she agreed so here is my favorite Valentine's image and the television portrait.
Chelsey is a talented makeup artist and I hope to be working with her where her MUA talents will be a welcomed addition on future shoots. (Chelsey did her own makeup for her shoot.)

Eyeful Photo Shoot Fact: The gun is a real assault rifle I borrowed from a friend. He seemed a bit reluctant at first but I think he'll be happy to know it was put to good use.

What did Chelsey think? Here's the comment she left for me. "Very comfortable, friendly, and professional. Understood my vision and made it happen! I was extremely pleased."

Thanks Chelsey!
